Tonto Trail stretches in an East-West orientation across a massive plateau along the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Approximately halfway down the Canyon, is a unique four mile section of Tonto Trail that connects the Bright Angel and South Kaibab Trails. Specifically, the connecting points are Indian Gardens (Bright Angel Trail) and Tip off Point (South Kaibab Trail). This trail has no support in the way of water, bathroom facilities, emergency or cell phone service.
